Accountability

Performance Reporting

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) Division of Performance Reporting compiles data to develop and report meaningful accountability ratings to help Texas public schools meet the educational needs of all students. As part of administering the state’s public-school accountability system, the division publishes assessment reporting and accountability data in several different formats, for different audiences, and for different purposes.

The division also provides guidance and resources to help school administrators, teachers, parents, and the general public understand and benefit from the state’s accountability system.

Federal Report Card can be viewed here.

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires each State education agency to prepare and publish an annual report card with state-, local education agency (LEA)- and campus-level data.
