Introduction

Hi! I’m Angela Roberson.  I am the 6^th-12^th grade science teacher here at Cranfills Gap. This is my 19^th year at Gap and my 23^rd year in education.

I graduated from Gatesville ISD in 1995, and graduated from Tarleton with my Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000. I taught one year of 8^th grade science at Venus ISD before teaching 7^th-12^th grade science for three years at Gustine ISD. I then took a four year break to spend time with my children. I returned to teaching in the fall of 2008, and have been at CGISD ever since then.

I have my science composite certification in Texas, which means that I am certified to teach all middle school sciences, integrated physics and chemistry (IPC), biology, chemistry, physics, and any other high school science that is offered. I am also separately certified to teach biology and chemistry.

I am G/T certified and am the National Honor Society sponsor.

Personal Information

I have four grown children - Tracer, Trevor (and his wife Breanna), Trenton, and Trinidy - and am excited that I will have two grandchildren born this school year!

I married Thomas Wartonick at the Rock Church in September of 2022, and enjoy spending time with him hiking, reading, traveling, and watching our favorite shows. Along with those hobbies, I enjoy painting, embroidery, putting puzzles together, and enjoying nature and sunshine!

My favorite things to do are to drink coffee on my front porch with my dog, Hank, and to drive around on the backroads with the windows down and the music up, appreciating this beautiful area where we live.

I love working at CGISD because we are genuinely a family here.  I love teaching kids all of the way from 6^th through 12^th grade and getting to know them over the years. I enjoy working with my co-workers and friends every day. I am thankful for each one of them and the support and laughs! Lastly, I love our community. We have great support and involvement from our community members.
